Don't Google Me

Every so often I like to Google myself...I know it's corny but I like to see if anything interesting pops up...usually it's the same old Mormon Utah Utes Lineman...Bluegrass Gospel Music Group...or Mason Conrad getting bodied.

But my, how the times have changed. A google search of "Jason Boone" today will bring you to a news article of a horrific murder. I only decided to blog about this because of how disturbing it actually was.

To Paraphrase the Article...
Jason Noe Kai Chong Boon (26yrs old) was the victim of an attack which left him dead. He was tied up, gagged, beaten and eventually died by asphyxiation (from the duct tape over his mouth). The scariest part was the fact that after the three people broke in (searchin for drugs), his girlfriend had to hide in the upstairs bathroom with his three-year-old daughter. Guy Nicholas Wilson, who just got life in prison for the murder, was previously charged with 104 other convictions including kidnapping robbery and rape. The other two are serving 8 1/2- 9 year sentences.

So after reading this article there are two things I gotta do...
1) Remove New Zealand from my Facebook "Where I Want To Travel" list
2) And never get into drugs with people that have facial tattoos.

Welcome Schlampes

My girlfriend Holly got me into the Beatles. She uploaded all of their albums, and taught me about their history. While in Hamburg, she explained their secret to success and even took me up to the Dakota on Central Park.

Holly has also got me into soccer. Truthfully, I never liked it before she turned me onto it. Not sure whether it was shagging balls at NYU soccer games or only being allowed to play defense during our "fun days" at practice. But when she joined me for my first professional game (Bochum vs. Wolfsburg) last season, I began to appreciate the sport much more.

But those aren't the reasons I like that commercial. It's not even the fact that David Beckham, like myself, is a successful model/global sex symbol. But rather because of how fitting that commercial seems to be at this moment.

It's always hard leaving the United States...there are so many things I'm going to miss (not to mention the friends and loved ones). But the more time I spend in America, the more I see how lucky I am to be playing professional basketball abroad.

So until I can play professional basketball in America or can't play professional basketball anymore, I need to live this up, and live it up, I intend to do.

But what kind of friend would I be if I didn't bring you guys along for the ride? Although I have to warn you...I'm not sure if the ride is necessarily going to be as fun for you as it is for me.

Seriously...I'll try to keep you entertained with my writing...but anyone who dares to follow this blog will have to put up with, what Holly has learned to tolerate, my multiple-personality/schizophrenic/bi-polar Cerebral Cortex. I'm telling you, it's all jumbled up there and this blog can range from fashion and politics to fart jokes and movies.

So if you are up for the challenge...go ahead...bookmark this page...I dare you...I double dare you...I double-dog dare you. And after it's bookmarked, don't forget to check back for daily updates and follow me throughout the season on this wild ride I call LIFE.
