Got Clorox?

Yesterday I helped you embark on a disgusting journey of infidelity. As wrong as that is, the only thing I can think of that hurts more than being cheated on is not accepting your culture. I used to get mad when White people would "act Black" and vice versa...but that was ignorance on my part. What really bothers me is when a Black or darker skinned person can't face themselves in the mirror because they wish they were White. There's no excuse for that kind of self-hate.

Now I'll admit, I'm not floating around in his head, and I don't like to be one to judge. I've heard the excuse about "years of sun damage in the MLB and the rejuvenation process he's undergoing." I've heard the excuse of "bad lighting and bad makeup." But what about the green contact lenses? I don't know any Black or Hispanic person with naturally green eyes. The bottom line is this, if those are things that his publicist made up to conceal the fact that he wants to be White, I have a serious problem with that.

That is why this scene from Don't Be A Menace was so funny, it's over the top and extreme...but is it actually happening here??

Sammy Sosa went on Univision's "Primer Impacto" talk show and spoke about the dramatic change in his appearance admitting, "It's a bleaching cream that I apply before going to bed and whitens my skin some. It's a cream that I have, that I use to soften [my skin], but has bleached me some. I'm not a racist, I live my life happily." Sammy would not name the cream divulging only that it came from Europe and that, "I'm going to market it, I'm a businessman." 

 

So sad!!!
